“You not only gave us a place to live when we had none, but also helped us to believe that no matter how bad things had gotten in our lives, that there was hope.

When we first came to Petaluma we had no hope. We were defeated by life and circumstances. Totally convinced that we would most likely die on the streets. Lost to our addiction and misery we wound up on your doorstep, and you embraced us and treated us respect and dignity. You did not judge or ridicule, but instead encouraged and nurtured. Gradually you showed us that there was a way out of the gloom in which we lived. We will never forget what you did for us.” – Greg and Deanna

“John is a senior citizen. He is a veteran with health issues. He is a diabetic and has to have dialysis treatments a few times a week. We helped him with his first month’s rent. He now has his own apartment.” -- John ’s case manager

“After I’d been working through the program, COTS gave me a job. That kept me focused and gave me a better mind set. In the past month, I bought a car, found a place to live, got a library card and filed my taxes.” -- Bill, graduate of COTS Opportunity Center’s Stepping Stones Program (a program that was in place before the Mary Isaak Center opened).
