Overview:
• Children’s Haven is a
licensed childcare facility located within COTS’ Family
Shelter, serving almost 200 infants and children each
year.
• The
Infant and Toddler Outreach program provide intensive support
to homeless children from birth-18 months and their parents
to address the developmental delays, neglect and abuse suffered
by many homeless children.
• The
Haven’s Preschool program includes therapeutic play,
language development, social skill building, fine motor skills
activities and literacy development for children age 18 months-five
years.
• The
Haven’s after school tutoring and summer enrichment
program integrates staff, volunteer tutors, parents, and the
local school district liaison to support the academic development
of homeless school age children. |
